Choral conductor and music pedagogue Artūras Dambrauskas (born in 1961) studied choral conducting at the Leningrad (St. Petersburg) N. Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory and holds a graduate assistantship from the Lithuanian Academy of Music. He is a professor, teaching choral conducting, and the head of Music Theory and Education Department at the Academy of Music of Vytautas Magnus University.
Artūras Dambrauskas has directed various adult and children's choirs. He is currently the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Sate Choir Vilnius and mixed choir Cantare in Klaipeda. Artūras has been the Artistic Director of the St. Jacob Sacred Music Festival since 2016, he was also the Artistic Director of the 2018 Lithuanian Song Festival Song day. In 2018 he was awarded the Order of the Knight's Cross for Merits to Lithuania.
A. Dambrauskas, an experienced choir conductor and professional musician, conducted at various Lithuanian Song Festivals and other festivals, as well as served as a member of the Jury in international and national choir competitions. The choirs under his leadership won multitude awards in various competitions held both in Lithuania and abroad (he won a gold medal at the 2014 World Choir Games in Riga with the Bel Canto Choir, gold diploma at the 2017 International Choir Competition in Rome with the Cantare, etc.)
